Daphne’s Lagoon Lodge is a private, tranquil, activity-filled destination located 12.5 nautical miles south of Belize City.
This delightful destination has been the joyful vacation home away from home for four generations of the Kemp family since the early 1900’s. As the Kemp family expanded, the treasure of Northern Lagoon became known and widely enjoyed by many friends and family of friends. With growing request for extended stays over the past 20 years, the family space was simply not enough to accommodate everyone.
With this, the vision for this destination’s potential prodded one member of the Kemp-Longsworth family to take action. Plans and works started for adding accommodations, developing attractions as well as offering first class food and dining to make the visit and stay at Daphne’s Lagoon Lodge a wonderful, wholesome and memorable experience.
In 2022, after 4 years of development, Daphne's Lagoon Lodge (named in honor of the owner’s mother) was officially opened to the public for business. As a family-owned Lodge, our hope is that every guest will experience the peace and tranquility that Northern Lagoon offers. This experience is unmatched, and we hold it dearly in our hearts.
The 45 min boat travel from Belize City through Burdon Canal and into the Sibun River is a nature filled, beautiful, breathtaking start to an exquisite experience at the Lodge.
